In 2008, Lolo discovered traditional Vietnamese lacquer — a process that captivated him with its texture, depth, and paradoxical need for humidity to dry. Over two years, he created 16 works blending lacquer and stainless steel.

Each painting is a layered portrait — full of energy, faces, and intricate handwork.
